Francesca Cooney has been Head of Policy at the Prisoners’ Education Trust since September 2018. Francesca initially worked in resettlement, homelessness and the advice sector before managing the advice service at the Prison Reform Trust where she also carried out policy work relating to the treatment and conditions of prisoners. She was a prison inspector for almost 3 years, specialising in inspecting women’s prisons. She is a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellow and holds an MSC in Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business Scho
