European Cross Border Justice: A Case Study of the EAW
This publication resents the results if a three year project (European Criminal Justice Project (ECJP): Cross-Border Solutions to Transnational Problems) carried out by the AIRE Centre in to cross-border justice in the Eu. Its primary focus is on the European Arrest Warrant and its implementation in the ECJP's target countries. The ECJP conducted research and also held four workshops to which the key actors in the EAW process were invited, these included judges, government officials, practitioners, academics and NGOs. The conclusions of these workshops are also set out in this publication, together with some recommendations for the future development of the area.
