The project runs for 15 months (December 2011 - March 2013) and aims to improve the knowledge and capacity of legal advisers to support EU migrants in accessing special non-contributory benefits across three cities, London, Amsterdam and Dublin.
Our project partners from the Free Legal Advice Centres (FLAC) in Dublin and Radboud University in the Netherlands will be attending the round-table, and we are delighted to announce that Adrian Berry (barrister, Garden Court Chambers) and Martin Williams (Child Poverty Action Group) will be leading two of the sessions. Specific topics covered during the course of the day will include the right-to-reside test, the background to EC Regulation 883/04, administrative considerations (delays and remedies), victims of trafficking and domestic violence, homeless EEA nationals, and pregnant women.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Esther Lieu (elieu@airecentre.org) as soon as possible.
