The European Court of Human Rights, in its judgment in OM v Hungary, has ruled that the detention of an LGBT asylum seeker violates Article 5 of the European Convention of Human Rights.

Seminar on Detention and the European Convention on Human Rights
As part of the Rule of Law Programme for the Western Balkans, the AIRE Centre hosted a seminar on Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights. The event was hosted in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina for legal advisors to the highest courts in BiH.
